Deck Skirting

Deck skirting does more than hide the space beneath your deck—it finishes the look, protects the under-deck area, and provides functional access. We offer a variety of materials, styles, and tiered options to suit any deck design.

Note: Our skirting tiers are a guideline to help visualize style and budget options. Every tier can be adjusted or customized to fit your preferences, including materials, lattice patterns, access panels, or critter guards.

Installation Approach

  • Vertical Skirting: Boards are installed directly against the deck or posts, and it doesn’t require additional framing if the deck frame is less than 2 feet above grade, creating a clean, simple finish for lower decks. Decks higher than 2 feet typically require framing for stability.

  • Horizontal Skirting, Lattice, and Decorative Screens: These options require hidden framing, constructed from pressure-treated pine, which is barely visible for a polished, professional look.

  • Critter Guard: Optional chicken wire or mesh installed 12" below grade inside the enclosure to prevent small animals from entering. Available for any tier but typically included in Tier 3 pricing.

  • Access Panels & Doors (Tier 3): Sliding or hinged panels for easy access to storage or utilities under the deck.

  • All skirting is installed with proper ventilation and drainage for long-term durability.
